RBM supports effective malaria control at meeting of the Global Fund Board [RBM] — (English)
The 29th Global Fund Board met today to discuss its new Funding Model and the lessons learned from the first pilot countries, as well as address key governance issues. At a special panel discussion, dedicated to translating the latest scientific evidence into effective country-level malaria response, Dr Fatoumata Nafo-Traoré, RBM Executive Director, highlighted the importance of strong surveillance systems, quality data and rigorous and consistent implementation. She also urged flexibility in adapting to changes and new developments in malaria control. Together with Stop TB and UNAIDS, RBM hosted a reception in support of the Global Fund Replenishment and to welcome the new leadership of the Global Fund Board.
