Country and Community Consultation Toolkit for GMAP2 now available [RBM] — (English)
The process of country consultations for the 2nd Global Malaria Action Plan is moving ahead and consultations have now been held in Myanmar, Democratic Republic of the Congo, India and the Philippines. The in-country process starts off by talking with affected communities, community development workers, first line health workers, district and regional staff. The views of these key stakeholders are put at the centre of national level consultations that involve a broad multisectoral audience including civil society, the private sector, academia, donors and Government representatives from different sectors and levels.

Strengthening and accelerating programming for Malaria in Pregnancy [RBM MIP] — (English)
The Malaria in Pregnancy Working Group (MiP WG) is meeting to provide the RBM Partnership with strategic advice on best practices for scaling up interventions for the prevention and control of malaria during pregnancy towards the achievement of RBM targets and MDGs. The meeting objectives include the review of country progress in terms of adoption and implementation of IPTp policy, discuss new technical evidence and promising programming practices, how to better integrate MIP programming into RMNCH services, and review and update MIP working group work plans...

Central African Sub Regional Network looks for evidence based data to improve malaria programme decision making [RBM CARN] — (English)
Anthropologists, socio-economists, parasitologists, entomologists, clinicians from Universities and Research institutions of DRC, Congo, Chad, Gabon, Cameroon, country NMCPs and WHO national programme officers and inter-country teams, met with National Malaria Control Programme managers in Doula, Cameroon for the first time, to look at how better to inform malaria programme design with vital evidence collected by research institutions.
