Government of Côte d'Ivoire hosts 25th RBM Board meeting
Participants in the meeting addressed key Board issues, including the Affordable Medicines Facility for malaria (AMFm), the revision of the Global Malaria Action Plan (GMAP 2), an External Evaluation of the Partnership, and the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to ensure the fight against malaria will be maintained as a health and development priority.

World Malaria Report 2013 shows major progress in fight against malaria, calls for sustained financing
Global efforts to control and eliminate malaria have saved an estimated 3.3 million lives since 2000, reducing malaria mortality rates by 45% globally and by 49% in Africa, according to the World malaria report 2013 published by the World Health Organization (WHO).

What we're watching and reading
The Roll Back Malaria Partnership welcomed acclaimed UK film writer and director, Mr. Richard Curtis, to Geneva to screen his film, Mary and Martha, which chronicles the epic journey of two mothers tragically affected by malaria and united in their resolve to combat the disease at home and abroad.
