WHO and RBM Partnership sign MoU for Secretariat Hosting, 16 December 2006, Geneva

WHO Acting Director General, Anders Nordstrom, Assistant Director Asamoah-Baah and Chair of the Roll Back Malaria Partnership Board , Dr Eyitayo Lambo (MOH Nigeria) signed a Memorandum of Understanding setting out the hosting arrangements for the Partnership's Secretariat at WHO. En route from Washington, where Prof Lambo spoke on behalf of Roll Back Malaria during the White House Summit on Malaria alongside WHO DG Elect Margaret Chan, the Minister delivered a short speech in recognition of the positive outcome of the work a large group of partners, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

2nd Harmonization Working Group Meeting, 15-17 January 2007, Geneva

The meeting will focus on developing a plan to support countries in 2007. More specifically it will identify ToRs for country validation missions and set out a framework for supporting countries with Global Fund round 7 proposals. A plan of action to support countries in emergency situation is also among expected outcomes of this event.
