WARN annual meeting
The principal objective of the meeting is to re-examine with Harmonization Working Group and NMCP in West Africa, the tools which will be used in the need assessment and to have a consensus on the preparation of the global business plan. This will also be an occasion to determine how the Partnership will assist countries in Global Fund malaria grant implementation and other projects on country level (Malaria Booster program and PMI).

Closing the Gap: Knowledge to Action in Global Health
During this symposium, global health leaders and researchers from the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, the National Institutes of Health and Sweden’s Karolinska Institutet will highlight global trends, policy initiatives, compelling research and effective interventions that are making a difference in closing the “know-do” gap in global health. Featured presentations will focus on progress being made to combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis, and to prevent injuries around the world.

Progress Against Malaria: Developments on the Horizon. Hosted by the Malaria Research Institute at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the New York Academy of Sciences, this half-day symposium will highlight the latest research developments in the fight to end malaria. This meeting will include discussions of new diagnostic tests, treatment strategies, and malaria-resistant mosquitoes. The symposium will also feature work from Macha, Zambia, where malaria research is conducted in a unique rural setting.
